Dmytro's musical journey began under the tutelage of his mother, Viktoriia Kokoshynska, during his early years. After completing his piano and violin studies at Revutsky Music School in Kyiv, he enters R. Glier Music Institute in Kyiv, where Dmytro discovered his passion for early music. His curiosity led him to delve into harpsichord studies with Olena Zhukova and piano studies with Juliana Yablonska. During the years in Kyiv Dmytro took part in a variety of concerts and radio programs dedicated to harpsichord and early music. At the age of 20, he resolved to focus entirely on the harpsichord and its repertoire. Since 2017, Dmytro has pursued advanced studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland, under the guidance of Francesco Corti.

Dmytro Kokoshynskyy has performed in recitals and concerts throughout Europe with a repertoire that embraces late Renaissance, Baroque, Classical periods, as well as contemporary compositions. In the past years he has performed various harpsichord concertos by J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, W.F. Bach, F. Poulenc, F. Durante and others. As a soloist he was invited to such renowned festivals such as Milano Arte Musica, Vespri Musicali di San Maurizio and others. Since 2018, he has been an integral presence at the "Marchesato Opera Festival" in Saluzzo, Italy, showcasing his talents both as a soloist and basso continuo player. In 2019, he had the privilege of accompanying masterclasses by Pablo Valetti, founder of the ensemble "Café Zimmermann," during the Namur Festival in Belgium.

Recent years have seen Dmytro enrich his skills through masterclasses conducted by distinguished figures such as Bertrand Cuiller, Menno van Delft, Johannes Keller, Beatrice Martin, Jean Rondeau, Christophe Rousset, and others.
